With the decision of the Lódźkie Voivodeship from the 30th of May 2006 Foundation UWOLNIENIE has received starting from 1 January 2006 the status of the SOCIAL INTEGRATION CENTRE.
The main aim of the Centre according to the law on the social employment from 13.06.2003 is preparing of socially excluded for the re-insertion into the labour market and making them acquainted with everyday work and facilitating their re-entry into the labour market.
On 1 February 2007 we have started realisation of the 12 months lasting project co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund named: „A chance for socially excluded” following the successful participation in the call of tenders.
For activities during 2007 SIC MEA has been distinguished with the statue Golden Ear in the category of the “Best Social Entrepreneur in the Lodzkie region in 2007”.
On 28 January 2008 between the city of Lodz and the foundation UWOLNIENIE an agreement on realization of public task in the area of social assistance has been signed – Support to social employment through preparation, realisation and financial settlement of Social Integration Centre for alcohol dependent persons or for persons threatened with alcohol dependence.
During 01.09.2008 – 30.09.2009 following our successful participation in the call of tender in the framework of the Operational Programme Human Capital the Programme SIC MEA has been realised.
Between January 2008 and January 2009 Foundation Uwolnienie has been carrying out as a subcontractor the task in the framework of the systemic project “New Image of the Social Assistance in Lodz” that has been realised by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Lodz. The aim of the project was vocational activation of the beneficiaries of Social Assistance Centres.
On 15 February 2010 the foundation started after successful participation in the call of tenders of the city of Lodz in category XIX – support to social employment through organization and financial settlement of social assistance centres for alcohol dependent persons, task realised between 15 February and 27 December 2012.
On 8 April 2011 Foundation UWOLNIENIE started realisation of the Social Integration Centre of 6 months duration for 23 socially excluded persons from the city of Pabianice.
Centre of Social Integration MEA guarantees its participants integration benefits based on the amount of the unemployment allowance and a warm meal on a daily basis.
There are following activities realised within the framework of the vocational and social integration

- Individual therapy,
- Groups therapy,
- Cultural events.
On 19 June 2009 SIC MEA participated in the first edition of the Social Economy Expo, organised by the Centre for Promotion and Development of Citizens Initiatives „OPUS” and the Social Support Association “Ja-Ty-My”.
On 18 June 2010 SIC MEA participated in the second edition of the Social economy Expo.
